KAREN "BOWE" BAIN (FORMERLY OF GRADE 12S)

"GONE TO SOON - BUT NOT SOON FORGOTTEN"

It is with great sadness that we, "The Alumni committee of GHS Class of '87" announce the passing of Karen "Bowe" Bain. Karen was a member of grade 12S (Mr. Phillips). I am sure that most of us would remember Karen as a warm, caring and fun loving person. We also wish to extend our deepest sympathy to her family. We pray that God will continue to bless and comfort you in this, your hour of bereavement. Karen passed away on "Thanksgiving Day", Thursday November 26th while at work.

Update: Karen's funeral will be held at 10am this coming Saturday Dec. 12th, 2009 at the Golden Gates World Outreach Ministries International (formerly Golden Gates Assembly Church) on Carmichael Road. Persons attending the funeral are being encouraged to wear navy or dark blue suits (men), and similar for the ladies. Ladies and gentlemen if you can, we encourage you to wear a light blue or baby blue corsage (ladies) or boutonniere (men). There is also a memorial planned for 7pm this coming Thursday Dec. 10th, 2009 at Christian Discipleship Ministries - Dolphin Drive; 1st corner on the left past Abilities Unlimited. Persons attending the memorial are being encouraged to wear bright vibrant colors. To you, fellow GHS Alumni, please keep the Bain, Bowe and Rigby families in your daily prayers. God bless.

Special Note:

As Alumni we would like to present a tangible/financial gift toward the educational fund for Karen's daughter. We are now collecting donations so that we can give to Rebecca and she can therefore issue one cheque on behalf of the Government High School Class of 1987 to the family.
